I have two BCM 400's that are failing backup's due to IVR. Nortel has a patch out that I downloaded and have tried to upload and it fails every time. I tried a different patch and it does the same thing. Has anybody else seen this issue?

Try deleting the Element Mgr on you computer, then download the Element Manager from the BCM in question. Don't use the one that has been on your computer and "works fine with other systems". You might also try a different version of JAVA....older or newer.

I agree with NTlayoff.
The Element managers may look the same, but they are different for the BCM50 and the BCM400. If you look the disconnect buttons on the top, they are in different locations, just as an example.
Some programming can be done using just a single Element Manager but bookmark the two separately and get in the habit of using the one specified for the BCM you need to program.
Why do they look alike when they are different? Who knows...it's a Canadian thing...

Bring this backup... I am using the EM off of the BCM 400; now when a backup runs on 1 unit the call pilot will not restart. I have to reset the BCM for the voicemail to restart. On 1 unit the backup runs correctly and on the other unit it still fails because of IVR failure; I also can not load patches to this system.

I have the same problem with a BCM1000 3.7 when running a back up. After the back up v-mail services stops. I always have to reboot the system. On the one that fails during the back up try not including IVR part with the back up.

I have tried not including IVR but it still looks for it and fails.

I also didn't include DECT OAM in the back up when I did a Back up Thurday on the BCM1000. The v-mail services didn't stop.
