Okay, first let me start with I'm an idiot! My office has a MICS 6.1 with a T1 card and PRI enabled for its trunks. Fiber module to station module expansion. About 30 phones total.
I was testing a MICS cabinet with 4.1XC software and used the station cable off my office for phone connections. Had some problems, I suspected the flash card. I put it in the office machine and it came up fine. I put the 6.1 card back in and guess what, programming did not look at all like we had. I am now sucking huge air. It is friday night and all are gone, whew!!
I finally got the fast rad hooked up and laptop connected. Backup file is about a year old. I restore the system. Hardware and everything reports like it should, programing and names all look normal, except for the ones that got moved to different ports during the remodel. Okay, so I can fix those by changing DN's.
Now the big one! I try and make an outgoing call and it says "no lines available" Why is this happening?
I need help quick or I am dead meat! You can call me if you are available. 360-601-4609

You probably lost your PRI Enabler code. If you have it saved and you have the same System ID then you are fine. Put it back and use it. Otherwise it's a big problem.

The pri card shows up and green the prgramming all shows PRI stuff, would this be the case if the enabler code was lost?

Where is the programming stored in the event of a power failure? Is it on the flash card, in the flash card holder/rom, or in the chassis somewhere? What if I got the holder/rom sleeves mixed around?

If you can go to Maintenance and change the type of card (i.e T1/Loop) and PRI is an option, you did not loose the enabler key.

If I go to maintenance and pull up card under hardware, it shows PRI. If I try and change it and come back to it, PRI is no longer an option. I guess that means I lost the enabler!

Sorry, I meant Hardware and yes, if you don't see PRI anymore, you lost the enabler.

It did end up being the enabler code. I had a nortel dealer out to do the work. My primary employer is not where I do my telephone work. That guy started swapping T1 cards to no evail until I told them to do the enabler. They could no longer get it re-issued from Nortel. We ended up buying a new one.

Maybe they should change this Forum name to "Low Tech Forum"!
