Hallo,

I'm trying to forward a MICS phone to a cell using forward + 9 and number and it works great... but...

they want to use a long distance number and they have long distance codes. If I put 9 and the 1 area code and number in followed by F78 and the ld code when the call forwards I get prompted for the code every time. Doesn't seem to matter if I put in 10 pauses, no pauses, etc. it always prompts me for the code.

The customer has a PRI and again, forwarding to a local number works fine it's just the prompt for a LD code which is required on all calls.

Vielen Dank!

Are you sure that there aren't any LD restrictions in play here?

The problem is PRI doesn't use DTMF sounds to dial. It's a digital line and it dials (practically) instantly. By the time the carrier is ready thr MICS has already dialed the password.

Just something to try - No clue if it will work.

Put a # in your string right after the number to dial and before your pause(s).

On a PRI, I find that it waits for the dial-timeout before sending the number. The # sometimes will stop that pause and send the dialing string.

Example: (spaces are only for viewing ease)
1 555 333 1234# (pause or more) (LD Code)

if it's going to be the same number your forwarding to each time you could try building a route and using different combinations of the # and P to get the job done. I have run into the in the past and for reasons beyond explantion it wouldnt work no matter how I built it. I was able to build the string in the voicemail and all worked fine. not the way I wanted it but the customer was fine with it.
