If you're not set on brand new equipment, the Executone IDS has 9 different tones...most of them are pretty distinguishable....though some of them are sort of weird....I don't know why anyone would want a constant busy tone as a ringer.

The IDS has different ring tones, but they are not assignable on a line-by-line basis - only station-by-station. FYI - The 42/84 only have 5 tones.

Looks like the original poster hasn't been back. We certainly need more information to find a system with an appropriate fit. Ring tones can't be the most important decision-making factor. Right? :shrug:
