A customer of mine had someone mess with the voicemail system (MICS 4.0 and NAM) and now you have to dial " # " before you can dial an extension. How do I get rid of this? They are not using the CCR tree. What am I overlooking?
Thanks in advance. help

Never faced such things. I know that # key is for Name Directories but # before the actual Ext. number? never happened to me.

Check you interface, should be NVM not CP. Also look for a touch tone gate digit.

I have the voicemail on ext 269 and it is a fiber connection. Where would I program the interface? i don't recall seeing this.
This unit used to work fine I do not know why the programming would have changed. my brain is cramping on this one.

Opps sorry it's a NAM no CP interface.

Check for a touch tone gate digit.

That was it. I finally got to the customers site and someone had turned on the touch tone gate digit. I changed it to "none" and the system now works properly. Thank you very much.
