Here is what we have BCM400 3.7 Top Bay DSM32+(Dip 1 off, Bus 02) 2nd Bay ASM8 (Dip 6 off, Bus 03) 3rd Bay DTI (Bus 07, forget dip now, but verified)
Moved the switch about a block. Everything has come up - DSM32+, all ext, DTI, and CP- everything but the ASM8. It just sits there and blinks at me. Everything worked fine before the move. I have disabled, and re-enabled. I have used a second ASM8, I have changed the bus to 3.1 and to 4.0, I have tried both units simultaneously. I have tried different bays. They just sit there and blink at me. A couple of people have told me they think both ASM's are bad, but what are the odds? Any ideas? I am willing to pay if someone thinks they can help.

Trunks??? vad60 these are analog STATIONS. rpcurran: Have you check the resources? It does say the module is an ASM? Have you disabled the module and re-enabled it? Just a couple simple things to do......you may have already done so.

Under resources it is programmed as ASM, but under actual(read-only) it says none. I have disabled and enabled about 3000 times. I believe now that at long as the status light is flashing rather than steady in will never enable. The most obvious choice is the dip switches, but it was working before we moved it and we did not take any modules out. Since it started acting up, I have verified the dip switches many times and they are as posted above. They have some DSM ports they are not using so I am going by today to put a few ATA2's in for temp use until this problem is resolved.

Does anyone think I would see a difference if we went with an ASM8+ or a GASM8?

There is no difference for system. Instruction says if Green light is blinking and you know that Dip switches set up correctly you have to wait 10 minutes for info to download.
