I'm setting up a BCM 450 on one site for a customer and a BCM 50 at the other site. We are using SIP trunking to network the systems. Everything is going alright except that they want to be able to page from one side to the other over the phones. Could anyone point me into the right direction as to how this is done? Thanks,

I think for this to happened you have to have a ICM. dial tone from another system present on your system. You can have OPX extensions set up between those two or have some analog trunks programmed as a DISA lines. Maybe some guys will step in with better idea.

Disa will work. So will a trunk paging adaptor. But you can't do a F6xx from one system to another.

I have two BCM 50 R3 linked by VPN; I have the MCDN/Q.Sig key code enabled on both. So far everything is working great, and I set up everything so that they can use each other's PSTN lines and all.
I'm trying to set up so they can page (internal) the other system. I'm set up in H323 BTW. Any help or tip appreciated, thanks.
Yes, I'm a frenchie; have a problem with that?? Well, I do!!

Nevermind, after re-thinking that, you can't flash an outside line and expect the system to still be there. Duh. Sorry.

Yanick, I think the only way to Page is to obtain ICM dial tone from another system or use DISA. You can't use any F.. code across VPN. I just was thinking about one IP phone that would be Ext. of another system through VPN may solve a problem but it will be only one or two and every time they want to Page they have to use those phones.

Yeah, I had read or heard that you can't DISA on VOIP trunks; I proposed to my client to install an old refurbished i2002 with an external speaker rigged to the phone's speaker, but of course, he gave me the classic: "Nah, I know you will find a way to make it work."
I'm a field tech/installer, not an engineer dammit!
BTW, I'm charging by the hour, so he already paid twice for the setup I proposed from the get go...
