As Nortel grew out of Northern Electric, I guess this is an appropriate forum to ask this question in.

Back when Northen Electric/Telecom/Nortel was manufacturing the Centurion, they offered mostly Prepay Centurion stations. I have two of these.

However, they also manufactured semi postpay Centurions. I have recently come across one which I suspect may be one of these. The model number was QSD401A6-76 ( as near as the number can be read). It is a dial version of the phone.

Instead of a coin relay mounted on the hopper, there is a board numbered P0523364 on a formed original bracket. This board contains an NE 2579A
transformer, QHP99A inductor, transistor, diodes, etc. and cluminates in a cord which is designed to plug in where the relay would normally plug.

It appears to be a sensor to detect coin drops. On the phone, a setscrew sets the vane to drop only into the coin box.

Can anyone confirm that this would be the semi postpay version of the Centurion, and even better, would anyone have a scan of the NEP for the board or for the phone?

I have posted a message to payphone.com, but they moderate the messages and haven't posted it to the page yet. It won't likely show until Monday. I realize most here are business installers, but many also have other telecom experience, and I am hoping someone here might have some experience with the semi prepay version of the Centurion.

No Vantage yet, but I have TIE Mod Key 16, NT 1A2, NT 1A, Norstar 6x16 and Toshiba DK-280 systems operational for demos in different parts of the museum...

Whatever I get my hands on without costing an arm and a leg, as the museum is funded by myself. I just had to put out over $6000 last week for a new roof on it. OUCH!
