We have a customer that purchased a system off Ebay from Canada. It looks like a MICS with 1 station module and a trunk module. The only thing is it is labeled Northern Telecom Companion. It has 4.1 software in it. It also came with a CallPilot 150. I assume that this design was only marketed in Canada. Is it safe to assume that it will work here in the US with our telco?

Thanks, am I correct in that this was only marketed in Canada? I have never seen a MICS that is labeled and designed like the Companion.

Wow. I've never anything like that either.
A MICS is a MICS, a Companion is a Companion.
How old was it?

What some do not know is a Companion system is the exact same as a MICS.
Because a MICS with Companion software can work with other systems via analog trunks on the MICS connected to ATAs on other system is was best to label it Companion.
The only difference is the software where the US requires UTAM keycodes.
So your good to go.
