On a Succession 5.5 is there a way to have distinctive ringing per DN or is it just per phone?
We would like to get to lines on one phone to ring differently from each other.
Thanks

I think it's only on a per phone basis in the CLS.

Yes, it can be done on a per DN basis, but only the cadences can be different, not the tones. First, you need to use an M3904 set. In the programming (refer to the NTP books), set CLS=DRDA. Then, as you program DN keys, you will get DNRO and DNRI prompts. LD 57 tells what some of the canned ring cycles are, and there you can even make up your own, sort of like text coding a MIDI sequence. We have done it on our system running Succession 3.

Correction: LD 56 is Distinctive Ringing. LD 57 is Flexible feature codes.
