Hey guys ... I have a DR6.1 MICS with a fiber NAM 4.0.04C. When the DID's are called, the AA is answering the calls instead of the personal voicemail.

I've heard that one can log into the NAM and change this setting OR install a file or something on a 3 1/2 inch floppy to change this particular setting.

My boss is telling me that this is incompatible and we need a new voicemail system for the site.

Is this true? If so, does anyone know how to change the setting?

According to my chart, that NAM is only good up to Version 5.0.
For MICS 6.1 You need NAM 4.1 or Call Pilot.

When you say DID - Can I assume that you have a PRI with target lines???

Do you also mean a DID that would go to a single user's phone - not the main console?

Are you sure you mean AA is answering and not the General Delivery ?

If the AA is answering a target line, just change the AA ANSWER to NO.

If the Gen Del Mail Box is answering, then check your target's PRIME DN.
Assuming you have all the other items programmed correctly. CallFwdBusy & CFNA & DRT.

Are you sure you mean AA is answering and not the General Delivery? The recording that I get is the same one that's recorded under "Greetings" greeting #1

If the AA is answering a target line, just change the AA ANSWER to NO. No, it rings 3 or 4 times and then gets picked up by the AA. It is not programmed to be picked up in the AA. "line number XXX" is set to "N"

If the Gen Del Mail Box is answering, then check your target's PRIME DN.
Assuming you have all the other items programmed correctly. CallFwdBusy & CFNA & DRT

CFNA is set to 333 ... we don't use CFB and DRT is system default.

You did not respond about what the PRIME SET is for the Target line.

What is the FwdNoAns set at for # of rings?
What is your DRT set for # of rings?
Set DRT higher.

I am probably forgetting one other item.
I am sure that someone else will step in and give info.

I'm also on-site right now so, hopefully, if something comes in on this I can try it.

Try setting each Target for itself as a prime.

Example: DN 244 Prime 244
.............DN 236 Prime 236

Although I have heard some say that they set the Prime DN to the VM DN.

I've tried everything that you've posted NT ... someone just called me and told me to log into the IP port on the unit with NVM 4.0 and change the "redirect" setting in the NAM. They said that changing this setting should resolve the issue.

I have a new copy of NRU 11 coming and NVM 4.0. Now, I just hope that I can log into the NAM's IP port.

Like NT stated you should upgrade to 4.1 to avoid issues or get a Call Pilot
Also make sure you have 6.1MR not just 6.1 as MR fixed issues with PRI.
