Trying to help out a school.
I am having a bit of trouble with the night ring scenario. They would like it to ring at the receptionist's desk (101 - they had all the DNs changed to match their old system - it is still the control set - 221)during school hours, and then switch to ring all the phones after hours.
I would like to set this up Auto, and give them a manual button (F871) for overide. I did already set the hours.
The ILG thing is giving me a hard time. Is there a way I can set that up to ring at a group prior to VM (Strtlk 1.7)?
Do all the sets need to "Appear & Ring", or does the ILG overide that? I set them up with appear only because to have the classrooms ring during the day would definately get me a detention.
Any suggestions?
Yes, I am retired - so why am I still working on phones?

Either you'll get detention, or they're "SOL". For the phone to ring at night, it MUST ring during the day as well, unless someone's found a solution.

Is that one issue or TWO ?? ( night / ILG )
For your night ring, get rid of the ILG. You make it ring on 101 - then your night ringing service in AUTO mode it will kick in and ring the phones you want.

OK, I'll lose the ILG
How do I determine the phones I want to ring?
In daytime, it only rings at 101, but at night I'd like it to ring at several (or all) phones.
Can do?

Control sets for the Ring Group has to include all phones you wish to ring at Night mode.

Daytime you have just the one phone set at RING or Appear/RING. Go into Services Ringing Group. Look under Night. Services ON Trunk Ans YES Line settings: Select the line(s) you want into the RING Group you want to set up. TIP: It is easier to set up ring group #5 (or higher). Too many Default settings for Ring Group 1 etc to "unprogram".
