I recieved a call from a customer with a CICS with a Call Pilot. They claim that every now and then, a caller calls in and gets a "beep beep" tone. They had the lines checked and the phone company claims the lines are fine and it's a system issue. I have never heard of anyone getting a "beep beep" tone when they call in. Has anyone else ever run into this? Thanks in advance

That could be. They just told me "beep beep". They do have a music on hold device, so I doubt it would give a on hold beep.

Suggest you call in yourself then describe it. Would hate troubleshooting false info.
Does so far sound like lines going on hold.
My first guess if not hold would be the IRAD has been told to answer one of the lines or they have a device such as modem or fax on the ATA which has lines assigned to ring at that DN.

I've tried to call, but it works fine when I call in. I hate these sporadic problems because they never seem to happen when I try to recreate them. I was thinking of the IRAD myself, but why all of a sudden would it start happening? I guess I'll be making a service call! Thanks for the input.

Like jsaad said, it is probably on hold TONES. Check the programming.
What can happen is the user is not paying attention. They want to make a call out and so they pick up the handset, then press a line button that is not is use and make their phone call. What they are not paying attention to, is that there was a call coming in ringing on their phone that they did not want to answer. When they picked up the hanset BEFORE hitting the line button to make their own call, they actually answered the call then put it on hold. Therefore they immediately hear "BEEP-BEEP".
If CON is the opposite of PRO Then what is the opposite of Progress?
