I just upgraded a BCM 400 from 3.6 to 4.0. The supplied material says if you have a BCM 1000 Expansion Gateway, that must be upgraded first with a different upgrade tool. Are they talking about the Expansion cabinet that most BCM 400s have, or something different?

I think what it means is if you have a remote location that you have a 1000 at, and connecting to it via the gateway, it needs upgraded first.
Two girls later and I'm back.....lol...been gone a while but see same faces still here. Lol

I found out what it was. It apparently is (was) a piss-poor way of increasing the capacity of the BCM, that is (was) almost as expensive a buying another BCM.
