Has anyone ever experienced an issue with the MOH signal continuing to play AFTER picking up a line from hold?
The problem appears to be intermittent.
After using MOH successfully for months, my customer says that within the last couple of weeks, sometimes they will be talking with someone, put them on-hold and then when they pick up the line from hold, the MOH music continues to play in the midst of their conversation.
I have over 2000 customers using MOH with the Nortel CICS and this is the first time I've ever heard of this occurring, so I thought I'd ask the guys that would know if this is even possible.
I appreciate any insights you could provide!

I'd check the music source 1st along with the connections on the block.

Does this happen only on certain lines or all lines? First I would do what Dave said, check ALL wiring - make sure nothing is shorting.
Try a different Trunk card......especially if it is only certain lines.
What happens if you change to ON HOLD=TONES do you start hearing the BEEP BEEP.
Maybe program for tones, then re-prog for MOH.
After all that, KSU is next.
If CON is the opposite of PRO Then what is the opposite of Progress?

I appreciate your help. I have asked them to monitor whether it is limited to certain lines.
They now tell me it happens upon picking the ringing line and that what they hear is the MOH and NOT the customer.
Hmmm...

Since everything else has been suggested,... Make certain your connections from the MOH device and the system are solid, remember, stranded wire doesn't work well in BIX (or 66.) A bad ground will cause stange things to happen. Is the music source a boom box with a 'burnt' CD by any chance? Nortorious for varying levels, could be the right level when you listen, then the next selection is so hot it causes crosstalk.
