I have a customer that was running an IP Phone at their home location. Internet service at the main office was verizon and the phone in the home office was running off a static ip. My customer decides to switch to comcast internet. I go on site to switch to the new static and subnet for the system and put in the new static for the ip phone the phone wont sync with the BCM

Is there anything I'm missing?

You have to do VPN. There is no SIP availability on BCM yet.

You have to do VPN unless both the BCM and the phone have public addresses (NOT RECOMMENDED).

Did you remember to change the default gateway in the BCM?

The BCM does have it's own static ip and I put that same IP into the phone. The phone has been working for nearly 2 years with the other ISP. The only thing that changed is the carrier so I just changed the ip info.

I did change the default gateway to the new one that was supplied by the ISP
Thanks

It's got to be a setting in the BCM itself - published IP, etc...
