I was wondering if someone can help me out with an mics. I have a few lines that are deisgnated to make and recieve calls to another one of the phone systems off site dialing 1 plus the ext number.we are able to recieve calls but nothing outgoing. sys is equiped w/ 3 e&m cards powered by a 6 port expansion module.it was working fine till we had a few power outages.all i get is dead air then a fast busy tone

If you have 3 E&M cards and only a few lines, have you tried swaping the cards and trying calls?

What trunks are in that trunk group? You could be pulling out of service trunks.

I'm no E&M expert but that is where I would start.

Actually I had tried swapping the cards already,I actually checked all the lines prior and they were all good.I ended up changing the routing codes and then switching them back again to how they were set and that did the trick. I mentioned this to a buddy of mine and he said that he had heard that before,possibly the ram card was corrupted and that by changing the routing codes to something diffrent,saving them and then changing back again might have cleared the issue. weired but who cares aslong it works.
