Had a bad thunder storm yesterday with a power outtage(?) that caused the bcm50 r1 to power-cycle. reboot time was about 30 mins but when the phones came back on, we'd get dial tone but the phone touchpads don't seem to have any effect; meaning you still hear dial tone even when you're dialing numbers! no outside calling, no extension calling either.

a bunch of alarms in element manager: the worst being 40003: unable to communicate with DSP. the rest are notifications of services stopping unexpectedly which are followed by notifications the same services have started successfully.

I have rebooted through element manager a coupe of times today.

using the bcm troubleshooting guide for no outside calling, I see that INT Analog Trunk is showing "idle" under System>Keycodes and the internal trunk is saying "enabling" under Resources>Telephony Resources. the 2 CTM4/GATM4's are showing "enabled".

Any ideas are much appreciated! thanks ~Rich

just checked under telephony>lines>all lines ..

they're set as:
trunk mode: supervised
dial mode: tone
loss package: medium co
impedance: 600
link at co: unchecked

no one has been in the programming for a loooong time so if a setting has changed, it'll have to be because of the power outage.

The R1's were hit or miss at best. If you have an expanded system, boot the main first! I replaced 2 R1's right after our hurricane several years ago. With both, the lights were on but nobody was home!
