Is there a conflict between certain model ICS KSU's and the 7.1 software? I have purchased a refurbished ICS with 7.1 software and can't get it to power up. The replacement KSU I received from the same supplier with new software is doing the same, just keeps blinking. (Over 30 minutes) I have tried different phones, with and without trunk cards installed. I've checked the amp cable.
It acts the way the KSU would if you didn't plug in the software cartridge.

I started with two trunk cards installed. I've tried it with no trunk cards. I'm trying them one at a time now. These are caller ID cards which sometime take 5 to 10 minutes for the system to recognize according to the 7.1 software manual

Problem solved. This is a good one. The sticker on the software cartridge was upside down. It will plug in upside down but it won't work!
Have a great Labor Day weekend

I always do my tech work before doing drugs and going out drinking.

Well, truth is, I am so old, I never do drugs or go out drinking.

It is normally IMPOSSIBLE to seat the software card upside down. It will go in part way, but not have a secure feeling, kinda just rattle in there.

Nortel built the software slot so you couldn't do what you say you did. Now maybe if you were a superhero with the strength of Superman you could push it in all the way but then the slot would have bent pins and it would never work.
