Hi everyone, Can anyone explain this to me?

I ordered 2 CICS units from my supplier, when I plugged them in on my test bench they wouldn't come on (tried several different power cords, checked fuses etc). OBF I assumed and got 2 more overnighted, plugged them in same thing! Tried numerous working outlets in the office, no luck.
Went to business next door and tried thier outlets to no avail.
I took 2 of the units home and plugged them in and they both fired up! Took them back to office, tried them again - no good.
Anyone have an explanation as to what is going on here. By the way AC voltage measured 115 at office.

Thanks

Did you use same power cord in all the locations
or did you switch?

Did you check voltage at both ends of power cord?

Yes, same ksu same power cord, just measured AC voltage at home, reads 122 from outlet, could this difference in voltage be the cause?

122 shouldn't be the problem. And I believe the compact is supposed to work all the way down to 108. Check the label.
Check the voltage at your business. THEN check the wiring of your business outlets! I assume 'next door' is part of the same building wired by the same outfit. The little slot should be 120 (More or less) when measured to either the big slot OR the Ground pin.0 volts between the big slot and the Ground pin.
