I went out on a BCM400 site. they have a BCM400 platform base chassis with a DSM 32+ in the top and a DSM16+ in the next and an analog station inter. and a GTAM 8 in the bottom. they have a 1000E expansion with a GTAM 8 and a GATM 4. They have lost dial tone out of one port on the base chassis GATM 8. The customer had noticed the amp was backed out of the GATM 8. So he pulled the GATM 8 module out and reseated it with out powering down. This is the first BCM 400 I've worked on. I have worked on 50s and 100s. I know Nortel advises to power down. does that sound like what took the port out? Thx for any info.
