Hi folks.I have a customer with a cics with caller id.However the cid info comes through only after they answer the call.I couldn't find where to program that.I've got a note in my manual that says something about telco feats-is it in lines or terms&sets? Thanks in advance.

This has been discussed many times in the past, you might be more quickly served by doing a 'search'. But, in a nutshell, it only appears immediately on 1 phone if I recall correctly.

When I was young, I was Liberal. As I aged and wised up, I became Conservative. Now that I'm old, I have settled on Curmudgeon.

CID info comes between 1st and 2nd rings only. If they answer right away or AA picks up on 0 rings you have to adjust it accordingly or tell'em answer on the 2nd ring. If Telco Feature set up as a Name first an CO is not provides name info then number will comes up after you pick up a handset. Change to Number first and test it..

Only one phone gets call ID before answering on softwares below 6.1.

A line must also be progrmmed to ring and not just appear.

For the older softwares and lines ringing at a set you must do F811 before answering.

If the line is appear only then do F811 and press the line and choose if to answer it or not.
