I have a customer that has a Meridian 8X24 DR5. I don't work on these things very often. The handsfree does not work the way I think it should. It transmits ok but to hear any thing it is muted. Is there an option that I missed to allow this to work as a 2 way speakerphone?.

Thanks

Mike

The speakerphone is half-duplex. Only one side can speak at a time. I have found that pushing the mute button while the other side is speaking helps. I understand that this is not ideal. Sometimes noise near the microphone will mute the other side.

I understand the half duplex. That is not the issue. It is like the set is muted all the time, no speaker phone at all just speaker.

Bad mic on the phone? Try changing the phone to see if it's better.

Look in [Capabilities] for that extension.

There is a setting for full hands free, default is no.

I think in an 824 it is either permissions or set abilities. look for hands-free options.
