I have a customer that wishes to have voicemail answering all incoming calls and direct the calls to departments. One department is the front counter area and they want several phones to ring when that department is selected and this is where I am stuck. I mainly work on Toshiba and when I want to do this I add a phDN to phones on the dk systems or put them in a multi call group in a CIX and put them as the extension number in voicemail. The system is a Compact ICS with a Call Pilot voicemail system. Thanks for your help

You need to create Hunt Groups if you have a 3 digit dialing plan.

Does the customer want all the phones to ring only when transferred from the AA, or do they want the other phones to "back up" a main phone?
If you just want them to ring when transferred from the AA, then a hunt group is the way to go. If you want all calls to the main phone to also ring on the "backup" phones, you can assign the main phone DN as an Answer DN on the other phones. This way they will be able to pick up calls transferred or dialed directly to that ext., not just ones that come through the HG.

Change the DN's on the phone system, you will have to default re-install the Voice Mail and start programming from scratch.
