Today I installed Call Pilot 150 with customers existing Nortel Modular ICS. We programmed auto attendant to answer all calls. If outside caller needed to speak with "Dr. Jones" the main greeting instructed the caller to press 3. Selector codes were enabled, trees etc.
When testing and pressing 3 the KSU seized an outside line, tried to dial, but then the Nortel System voice said "routing not able to complete", or "incorrect routing", or something to that effect.
All 4 lines are in Line Pool A, no dial 9 programmed. We tried with and without 1+ area code.
Any suggestions??
Thank you.

You need to program Routing for CP to work with External Forwarding.

If you have 9 setup for routing, then you simply put 9 in front of the number your wanting to forward the calls to. Must be using routing.

To build upon what the others said, by default the MICS won't allow you to set 9 as a destination code for your route, because it is using it elsewhere. Dump 9 as the access code for your pool and as the external code before it will allow you to use it with your routing.

I actually think that you need to change the Supervision on the lines. I think the default is unsupervised and when I changed it to supervised I was able to transfer externally.

Check allow Redirect, Setup route 001 to Dial 8 and make sure destination code is set to "any" and in the path 3 make sure it says Pool A.
