Hello everyone!

I work with music on hold and my client has a Norstar phone system with a radio currently connected for moh, which also plays on the overhead speakers in their office. They had a local tech come out and said they could only have 1 source; either eliminate the overhead and have custom moh, or use continue using the radio for moh and overhead.

Has anyone else heard of this with a Norstar?

Thank you guys! I have worked with similar situations a many of times, but guess I never had came across one where overhead was actually ran through the phone system. I'll see if they can get someone else out to manage that.

Thanks again!

MOH and phone speakers use the same source. However, you could certainly pipe a separate source through your external overhead system, and have it momentarily overridden when a real page comes through. Bogen and others make such devices and systems.

No - Music source for the overhead does NOT run through the Norstar.
What they are saying is they take one music source and run it to both units.
But you can have one source run to the overhead and another source run to the phone system.

Also there is only one input in the Norstar to accept Audio ( music or ads ).
That one input is used internally for Music on Hold and for Background music to the phone itself.
There is NO audio Output - unless you call paging an audio output, but they does not output the Music source input

If CON is the opposite of PRO
Then what is the opposite of Progress?
