Hello, I have a Nortel/Avaya BCM 450 which has red alarm lights on the front. On the main unit, the red light is on the DSM 32 and it is on the power side where the two sets of Amphonel cables come in. On the expansion module it is one of the DSM32s on the top left side. It is also the left most light. (Power fault light?) I tried to clear the light by resetting them in the Element Manager and when this did not work, I shutdown the unit and disconnected and reconnected the Amphoneal cables, but it still is showing an error. The event logs show nothing to indicate why there is an alarm light on. It is on a UPS and this uit is fine also. Is there another step to the process to clearing this alarm light? Users report static on the lines, otherwise everything else seems normal. Thanks

Look at the Alarm log under Admin tab.

The guide should tell you light status and what the colors mean.

I verified that the log does not show what might be an issue, there are two warning entries, because of a power outage which caused the network connection to drop. Almost immediately, the connection was restablished and an entry in the log confirmed this. Other entries are either informational or minor. When I clicked on the reset status LED button, it does not change the red lights on the main and expansion chassis. Acknowledging the alarm does not change anything either. Perhaps the modules have failed and need replacement, has anyone seen this before? I have noticed increased trouble calls regarding the phone, static on the lines, dropped calls, sets not in service etc. None are service stoppers but annoying and I am at a lose on how to fix it.
