Have a MICS 7.1 with fiber ASMs. I have a requirement to call several analog devices, enter a password, and then command readouts with DTMF tones. How can I get a call from a station set to an analog station to pass DTMF tones ?

Try using the long tones feature. F808 You may have to press the # key then invoke F808. Good luck.

ASM won't pass DTMF. Nortel made a VMI interface for that purpose.

russell4444, thanks, that did the trick. telemarv, I checked and the ASM did not pass any tones. But using the feature code seems to activate a DTMF generator somewhere, and the system phone generates DTMF.
