Just noticed today, after all these years, there's a re-set(?) button on the front of the CICS (just above the Trunks amphenol). What's that for?

You are not suppose to know about that button.
It is for when you cannot figure out how to fix the problem, you press that for 30-sec and it self heals itself. :shrug:

I never knew it was there either.
Interesting. :confused:

Maybe someone else knows something?

Then what is the opposite of Progress?

Well I went ahead and pressed it..now we have an area-wide outage involving Nuvox/Windstream...oops.

I had never noticed it either. As far as I know it has the same purpose as that useless jack.

I'm trying to bring a CICS back to life and figured I have nothing to lose. Tried different varations of button-pushing (e.g. hold it down for 15 secs. while powering up, etc.) to no avail.

Also at one time most didn't know about the fuse located under the CICS behind the power plug.
