What's the point?
Why not just get a DR5-DS?
You would only need to upgrade it if you were planning on installing a VM.
Would cost you more to get it upgraded IMHO.

They want VM and UM, as far as I know only Callpilot 100 will do UM and is compatible with DR5.1.
Any other options for UM on this DR5?

No
3X8 and is the only Norstar that is non-upgradable as there is no software sleeve.
I strongly suggest replace with BCM50 and use Message Forwarding, this will help with smart phones too.
CICS/Combo roughly 1600 to end user, also the supply is almost gone!
Support is also gone.
BCM50 maybe a little more plus some key codes so cost effective to get a BCM50 instead and they will be updated and supported.
