I know I've seen this problem before. The customer's handset volume resets to very low. I changed the default in the system programming to use the phone setting but it is still doing it. Is the phone dying or the port? This is a MICS.

It's usually an old model of phone - try switching the phone out for a newer one.

M series must rev 19 or higher. All T series will work properly.

This is an older phone, M7310. It's been working for years. That may be the problem, Years....

Are you saying that they are able to turn the volume up for a single call and then the next one is low again?

Or they pick up the phone and the volume is low and stays low??

If the 2nd one, try switching with a GOOD handset.
It could be the handset, or the whole phone.

NO, They set the volume up then the next call it's back down to nothing. It does not happen with every call usually just a couple times a day.

Turn Set relocate Off, switch with another working phone....you will then know if phone or port issue.
