I cannot communicate with the TVS50 using Hyper terminal? I made the cable myself a checked and double checked it. When you boot up the TVS 50 you get the proper response on the hyper terminal screen but you cannot type anything it will not respond to key-strokes. I've double checked my port communications settings to no avail.

I realize your posting is years' old, but I'm having the exact same problem. What was your resolution; I receive info from my TVS50 w/no problems, but I appear to be unable to send any information to it.
Thanks, PJS

After several hours, I've solved my own problem. It appears that it's necessary to set my Flow Control setting to "XON/XOFF" instead of "Hardware". This was never mentioned in the manual, but upon toggling such, I had immediate access to the TVS50.
