I'm adding an intercom speaker at the entrance way. When someone approaches after hours, they ring a doorbell. We would like to be able to use the DBS 824 phone system to reply and converse with them. I have wired for the intercom speaker at the front door. But I need to know how to treat it in the phone system. Do I need a new card or module? Can I treat it as an extension? Any ideas.

You need:

An available extension port

Doorbox KX-T30865

Doorbox Adaptor VB43711 (kinda rare)

You should also be able to get a Viking door box (at any Graybar) and hook it up to an empty CO line port then when they push the button it will ring the CO line and they can answer it like a normal call.
