I just put a TVS50 on a KXTA624. This is a fairly new customer for me and I did not do the initial phone install. The VM ports are 15 and 16, 7 and 8 were already used for phones. I assigned the VM ports in program 131 and got the APT integration from the TVS50. My problem is extension 108 will not light the MWI(no mailbox on ext 107, probably would not work either). I assume its because the vmail wants this as a vmail port. All of the programming appears to be correct the phone system and the voicemail both show ports 15 and 16 as the vmail ports. I can light the light manually so I know it works. Any ideas?

Go to ext. 108 and press intercom and dial 115 and see if you go right into that mailbox.
If it does then go through the settings in the mailbox and make sure it's told to use the MWL.
You've got mail.
Gem.

It does go directly into the mailbox and I checked that MWL was turned on in mailbox management. The other MWL's seem to work but I noticed in the Utilities for the tvs50 that there was no entry in the field for MWL on or off. I used the quick setup (usually don't) is this a problem.

The easiest way is to delete the mailbox from the system managers mailbox 999 and then put it back through 999.
This should work for you.

Deleted the mail box through my VT100 session yesterday, it did not fix the problem. I was going to try placing "701X" in the entry for the MWL. There is nothing in the table currently, but the other MWL's seem to work.

That's why I said use mailbox 999.
The mailboxes created through 999 have different default settings then when created through the LT Term.

Went into mbox 999 and deleted mbox 108, exited, went back in and added it. Went into mbox 108 and turned off the MWL, went back in and turned it on. Moved Vmail ports to 7&8 from 15&16, made corresponding changes to programs 130&131 and ringing. Renumbered ports so my user could still have ext 108. Added the string 701X to the dialing parameters in the hardware table. The MWL still will not work from Vmail. I'm almost stumped!
