I'll have to call on Sir Joe of
https://www.austintele.com/ for this
but I would think if you call a display set from any extension it would show the ext. #.
As for the extensions that go to the general delivery box; either they do not have a mailbox or their mailbox is not associated with their extension.
when an extension calls the voicemail it should send some kind of "follow on ID" to let the voice mail know to go directly to that mailbox. Without this you usally get the main A/A greeting but some Mfg. may have it go to the general mailbox. Sometimes when using an aftermarket unit you can not get direct mailbox access.
I'm sure Joe can help you out, either give him a call or maybe he'll chime in.
