Basicly it's an analog version of the TD 1232
without the digital features exclusive to the TD1232 like XDP and dpits integration to the voicemail units and a few other differences.

My personal opinion, total POS only one I've seen was fried after only 6 mos service, customer was able to get replaced, I did enjoy the Windows based software, kinda fun, I still stick with the old style software when programming the TD series, since -4 and below can get corrupted with the Windows SW. If your familiar with the TD windows based SW, you'll find programming a breeze, still don't like the so-called "advanced" series, good for Alarm guys and Electricians, makes for good clean-up service calls.

You coast guys don't appreciate something that works in the small market. The rev 1 KXTA1232 were hard for key system installers (same for the 624) because of the pbx functions. Rev 2 is very much like the KXTD816/1232 in VM integration and programming. True, it is not digital, but it can be a very stable trouble free system if properly installed. I have installed and/or aquired the service on Rev 1, Rev 2 TA 1232, TD 816/1232. And, no, I don't install alarms, electrical, or computers ---- just telephones.

I have never had any issues with that system. It surely isn't the "POS" some may claim. Depends on the application, if the system fits the customers needs, then you won't go wrong.
