When a call comes in and TVS-50 intercepts the call and it sounds like you called a Fax Machine and there is no Out Going Message played and ther's is no Fax Machine attached to the system, what is causing this digital Fax Machine tone ? Does this mean the Mail Box full ?

Whats needs to be done to correct this problem

fonetec
TIA

Is this on every line?
Is there a DISA xard in the system as well?
Are any of the lines T or bridge tapped?
Could be an alarm or modem.
Shut off the TVS 50 and see if it still happens.
1st thing we need to do is determine if the problem is actually in the TVS 50.

Could it perhaps be the alarm system hooked up to your line.

It's either an alarm system or a dial up modem.
You should shut down the system and see if it
still does it.
This will tell you if it's something connected to an extension port.
If it's not on an Ext. port you should be able
to trace it from the Dmarc to the system and see where some other line is tapped in.
You may want to open the RJ31 on the alarm, (if there is one) 1st and see if that's doing it.

I found the problem one of the new attorneys moved in to one of the upper offices and plugged his fax machine and computer in the wrong port and I didn't know he was moving in.

Thanks for giving me the idea, so I went back and checked all the offices and there was my problem a new guy moving in.

I had just been work on the voice mail the day before and I thought I did something.

I tell ya I don't know what I would do without you guys, I'm by myself and I have no one to bounce Ideas off of.

Thanks Again
