What is the best way to setup a night greeting with alternate routing? Currently the customer is using auto attendant on all lines, custom service 1 on all ports. They want a different menu at night with a different greeting. Can someone please let me know the best way to do this. Thanks.

as your using the custom menu for the day mode you can also use for the night mode .. you say you need a different greeting at night ...does the company name change at night?? in most cases the company greeting only holds the company name (ie ) thank you for calling insilco) however at night you can change the copm greeting if you require you could setup custom service 2 for night mode to switch on depends on the type of phone system you have ..if kx-td then you can set the v/mail to take the time from the ph system if kx-ta then you would have to set a time service on the v/mail or set a button on the phone to set night mode on the v/mail eitherway custom service is the best way
do you have the v/mail connection to your pc if so very easy to setup if not then harder but not imposible.. let us know between myself and GEM we will get you up and running...

Here's what I did:
For port 1 day mode, I use Custom 1. Then, I recorded menu and prompts for user 1 from my phone.
For night mode, I use Custom 2, which is set to use user prompt 2. I recorded different things for user prompt 2.
It worked out so that the greeting in the day time is one thing and the greeting at night is different and the system sends folks straight to vm boxes instead of extensions.
