Hi everyone,
I've been having an issue I can't seem to find a solution to, maybe someone can help me here.
I have a TVS50 connected to a TA824 on jacks 07 & 08 configured for APT integration on VM1 (130). Both jacks are in a circular hunt group number 8 where they are the only members (600). Both jacks have the Data Line security (730) enabled.

Everything works as intended and if the extensions don't answer or are busy it forwards calls to their personal voice mail. The problem I'm having is the message waiting lamp doesn't turn on after a message is left.

I've tried everything. Set Message Waiting Notification ON in every mailbox, set All Calls Transfer to Mailbox to NO on each mailbox setting, set the essage Waiting Lamp for Every Message to YES. I don't know why it isn't turning on.

Can anybody please help me?

In the TVS under "class of service"
did you set "authorization of message notification" to yes ?

Can I give you any other information of my system so you can help me? I've been dealing with this for two weeks already.

Thanks in advance,

Give this a try. Go into PBX interface 1.6.3.1 from the top menu I think. For message waiting lamp on put in T701X# and for the off command use T702X#. I know I have used it on some Panasonic systems to get the M/W lamps to work. For more info I used page 272 table 72 of the CD.
Hope it helps [Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]

Thanks, Steph
But unfortunately I already tried that too even though the manual for the VPS says it isn't needed for APT integration.
After putting the light-on and light-off sequence it still wouldn't do it =(

Any more ideas??

under the system menu I think there is a line where you specify which ports can set mw.
If you put 12 in that area then both ports can set mw.

Brokeda,
Yes, I found that menu (1-5-7-3)and gave both ports (1-2) permission to send the MWL notification and to place an outside call.

This is how that menu is configured:

Program - System Parameter Setting - Others - Message Waiting Notification Menu

1. Outgoing Call Ports [ 1-2 ] :=
2. Message Waiting Lamp Ports [ 1-2 ] :=
3. Message Waiting Lamp for Every Message [ Yes ]
1:No 2:Yes :=
4. Max. Digits for Callback No. [ 20 ] ( 1 - 48 digits ) :=
5. Callback No. Entry Interdigit Time-out [ 5 ] ( 1 - 10 s ) :=
6. System Callback No. [ ] :=

I basicallly went to every single menu on the VPS50 and searched for all the items concerning MWL notifications. Read what they do and then configured them how they are suposed to be... and still nothing.

Any other ideas??
