Hi we have the NTLSX700 DECT phone... in range of my computer there are 5 wireless networks and most people have a wireless phone, we think that because of this we are having problems with the signal of our wireless phone. When we receive a call it will lose signal after a few minutes and sometimes when we dial the call it will lose signal to the base station. We have lost the user manual to the phone and since NTL has gone to virgin media we are no longer getting any support what so ever. I was wondering if someone could tell us how to change the wireless channel or something similar for this phone, like you can with wireless internet – lets not go there, no channel worked apart from 11 for that!!! We have tried moving the base station etc, even calling with the phone directly above the base station – it still loses signal after so long! Someone please help it’s driving me absolutely insane. :bang:

Change the channel all you want, if you could; it would not matter. Dect runs at 1.9 and the wireless networks are 2.4/5.8.
Id say the phone is bad, return the one you have or get a new one.

Is it likely to be a problem with the phone, or would it be interference?

ar to the site. Please read Rules & How to use the Tech Talk Forum taking special note to Terms of Service. The technicians on this board take great pride in their profession and offer the benefit of their many years of experience to help other members. As expected, they do however deserve to know who is asking them for certain types of information. Therefore users are allowed a single account/user name, and multiple accounts can and will result in all of them being banned. Additionally any falsification of the information contained in a Member's Profile can also be grounds for permanently banning the Member, not just the member name.
