has anyone tried this? I'm not familiar with the DBS system(or the TVA50) and would like to set up a simple VM for a customer. I need info on type of integration (inband?), message waiting lite on/off codes,...

They previously had a Panavoice that went TU and now they want to get a VM cheap.

Any input on this would be appreciated.I do have 20+ years with various systems, but have been doing mostly structured cabling for the last few years.

Any voice mail with analog integration will work for your application. The DBS has the ability to send the necessary digits and most voice mail systems can also be adjusted to meet the KSU's expectations. The TVS50 is a pretty cheap solution and it works.

How come there's always enough time to go back and fix it a second time?

Use end user phone set up for the rest.
MW ON = *41
MW OFF = *49
Then set at each phone:
Callfwd to Vm
Call Fwd Id

Thanks for the replies. I've downloaded and printed about 1000 pages of info the last few days but it's quite overwhelming and very redundant to go thru it all. I do not have the necessary info on the DBS 90 to finish the job, so any codes or instructions for programming via telephone set would be greatly appreciated.
Currently, the users have a VM access button on 1 of the FF keys. I can verify that it is programmed as 6009XX1. The 600 is the VM pilot number and the 9XX is the old mailbox number for that particular set. Not sure about the 1, it seems to get put in when you hit the hold button during programming. Unfortunately, when I programm that button as 6006XX(6XX being the mirrored mailbox number) it only takes me to the mailbox; which makes perfect sense. The old system actually logged them into their own mailbox and they only had to enter the password. Now it goes right into "Leave a message..."
The codes for access your own box on the TVA50 is *6XX, but the FF key will not let me enter that sequence. It seems limited to 6 digit entry.
Does anyone think I canget the FF key to work or possibly enter the sequence into a speed bin?
Do I need to post my email?

Joe Your site is awsome!!!
The 576 is totally different so it was not much help.
I have some 40 and 96 to set up later and your print out is the ticket. Those books suck harder than the TV in that commercial??
