i have taw848 dpt with tva50. when a call comes in, it goes to tva50 which screens it for private, etc. If private, goes to vmail. If not, ICD group 601 rings and if no answer, vmail picks up. (during night mode all calls to vmail)

it used to be the case that if a call rang through and no answer, vmail picked up. the call would not be logged in icd group log but the caller id number would play in the message envelope. recently, such calls ARE logged in icd group but NO caller id announcement plays in the message envelope (announcement is enabled in the COS).

what gives?

Was each unit initialized before programming???

I think you should setup a call trace in the system either using the utility in the TVA or by using SMDR on the TAW848.
If you use the SMDR you can leave it running and when you have one of these calls happen you can go back and see how the PBX handled it, then try to cross referrence that with the TVA.
It will save you a lot of time from trying different things.

Yes, just use the drop down menu on the Utility and go to System Trace then Real Time trace and setup a capture file. Make a test call while it is on the screen and you will see how the TVA handles the call.
