We had our new phone system installed yesterday, and, as I told the the rest of the office staff, there are a few kinks to work out. It is a Panasonic Super Hybrid System - Model # D1232 and the phones we are using are Panasonic KX-T7030 & KX-T7020. We have a manual for the system, but none for the phones. Does anyone happen to have one or know where to find one (ideally it would be free).
Also, The System Manual speaks a language that most normal people don't know (I guess it gives job security for telephone techs...) So, I would love it if anyone can help me figure out the following (or at least tell me I should definitely have a trained professional do it):
1. Our phone lines are associated kind of out-of order on our telephones. Example: Our usual Line 1 shows under the Line 3 Button, Line 2 is now Line 4, Line 3 is now Line 2 and Our Fax/Line 4 is Line 1. Is that a programmable change? Or does it have to do with how the phone system was installed?
2. All 8 extensions ring when we receive an outside call. For ALL lines it should really only ring to my phone - reception. How do I change this?
3. The handsets are pre-programmed to pick-up (when no phones are ringing) on "Intercom," But it would be much more convenient to have it pick-up an empty line. Can you tell me how to change that?

1- CO lines need to be swapped by installer 2+3 are done in installation programming.
You could try using Hot line without any phone number. Lift handset and dial 7429# Hangup Lift handset and dial 741 to turn or 740 to cancel Pickup dial wait time can be adjusted by programmer.
