How do I properly hook up the TVS75 to the TD-816? Do I need to use the RS232 jack? Please help, I am a lamen, never hooked these things up before!

No laptop, can get a 25 to 9 cable...not sure on the null modem adapter, I have a regular 56K modem installed on a few of my desktops, but I guess that's not it, right?

Will not be able to do zilch with out at least a
a pc with a hot com port
and db 25 to 9 cable .a rat shack null modem adapter and a terminal emulation program set properly.
