Hi,

When a clients call our main line, its answered by auto attendent...press 1 for sales, press 2 for customer service etc...one of the options is press X for company directory.

I want to take out that option. there are over 40 people at the company, and everytime someone leaves or hire someone new, we have to update that damn list. we just want to get rid of that option.

phone system: ktxd1232, and TVS200.

thanks,
ed

As I don't have manuals on the TVS200 --- Cheat!

Re-Record the AA greeting and DELETE the part about "dial x for the company directory". :toothy:

Hopefully someone with the books will pipe in soon.

I have to ask this. If you don't update the list or
delete it how would I contact someone in your company if I did not know thier ext number.
Do you mean a list that verbaly lists all 40 people?? If so thats a pain . Rerecord greeting and (as KLD suggested)
do not refer to that list, or, in its place put "press #1 for a company directory by last name". (You can also have your vendor set system up to have a digit 1-9 send caller to this dial by name directory)
This will take them to the dial by name directory.
You just change the 4 letters of last name in each mailbox when there is a change, through the admin mailbox 999. It can also be set up to use first name. New TVA units look at both first and last names.

believe it or not I have a lot of customers

if it is the the one you want to change dial 1 and record new options.dial 2 to save changes.
