while reading your reply i see
"Thank you for calling VoiceOver LA. Our messaging service is currently down, please call us again tomorrow." But there is no beep... perhaps the customer has to punch in an extension?
To change this message, I press this on the phone: Intercom #g *998 5 4 1 this tells us that you have a custom menu setup on your voice mail yes the v/mail is waiting for a input now... have you tried to input single digits when getting it may have been set to ring exts on you site (ie )a group ....try 1-9 and see if anyware rings.... you can type a ext no: here also and it will ring thet ext: (ie type someones extenstion or you might find that any input goes to a mailbox so you could change your message to suit eitherway the setup is done wrong for your present requirements you may find somone here willing to go to your site to sort it out you just have to ask
