Well, I've looked and looked and I really can't find anywhere in the pc management console where I can set which of the thirty tones to use for a given incoming CO. All I see is the ring tone patterns section that allows me to select single, double, triple or s-double ring tone patterns. Where in the console is the ability to select what each ring sounds like and actually assign different ring sounds to different incoming CO calls on the same extension?
(Sorry to ask what I assume is a basic question but I hunted around the console for quite a long time before giving up and asking it!)

Thanks again, Brokeda, but I'm still not getting it. When I go to Extension - Wired Extension - Flexible Keys and select single CO the ring tone table entry is greyed out. It appears from the manual (and from trial and error) that the ring tone table entry is only available when you select one of two options (I forget what they are but they appear to have nothing to do with setting up a flexible key as a CO).
What am I missing?

Sorry. I was cornfuzed. I was looking and thinking of the TDA50, I thought 848 also had selectable tones, but alas, no. Back to ring the single line port and get a phone with ringer you like or have relay trigger any audio source.

Thanks for letting me know. It surprises me that there is no way to select different ringing tones beyond 'single/double/triple/s double'...given the power of the taw848, that's a very odd omission. Oh well.

Brokeda (or others)...any chance there might be a workaround by having it momentarily page BGM (I could record a doorbell ring) whenever someone presses the doorbell? Any idea how I would go about it? If you know it won't work, please let me know so I don't waste my time. If it might work but you're not sure how to go about it, let me know that as well and I'll investigate further.
Thanks.

I also have a customer with a TAW848 that would like the same thing! But just ring patterns aint gonna cut it! It seems there must be someway to route audio (like a digital sample of a doorbell) to come out of the phone's speaker like utilizing PAGE ALL. Unfortunately the only way I could see this happening is with a Firmware hack. It would be nice though if Panasonic could update their firmware with this feature!

you can get a relay from Mike Sandman, or use a TAM unit. Have Door Phone ring single line port, this triggers the relay, you can make anything you want happen with this contact closure.
