When I put an external caller on hold, the caller hears a double tone that sounds like I have just hung up. I would rather a single tone of a type more commonly used when people are put on hold so that noone mistakenly thinks I have hung up. I know I can do this by playing a repeating tone through BGM, but short of buying a BGM device and recording a tone is there any way I can change the built in hold tone to a single tone rather than a double one?

Sorry, I forgot to mention I have a TAW848. I did try the built in music and that was so comical that I went back to the double tone. I gather you are saying that I am stuck with a choice of (a) double tone that sounds like a hang up, (b) internal BGM and (c) external BGM. Is that correct?

Yes, but on the TDA systems you have the option of TWO different ridiculous internal BGM songs!

LOL...yes, the TAW848 is nice enough to give us two ridiculous internal BGM songs too.
I tried them for a while; initially I thought they were so clunky and silly sounding as to be cool, but eventually I gave up after I received an appropriate amount of ridicule from my callers.
