I have been looking for a clear solution all evening and have been unsuccessful. Here is my situation:
KX-TD1232 TVS200 MainDisk 3.03 MainROM 1.01
I have setup an extension to forward all calls to an outside number. This works when the extension is dialed from another internal extension.
When the auto attendant forwards an outside caller to the extension, the caller hears background music for a bit then the attendant comes back on.
I don't see any other CO line access while the caller is on hold.
Please advise.

Set call fwd parameters to FXD for all or using alt ext. A supervised transfer will not go through, a blind xfer will.

Well, I am onsite and still no luck. I set FWXD in both the extension transfer sequence and the alternate extension transfer sequence, and have the same results.
Any other ideas?

Take out the w, make it FXD. You do have CO lines available. Dial 165 #8 and that extension that is forwarded and see if it calls out. MrG

I just came across this web page: https://www.ablecomm.info/howtodoit.htm and it states (towards the bottom of the page) that forwarding to an outside line will work if it is a TVS200-2. I priced one on eBay for about $100. Sounds like money well spent if it will solve the issue. Any opinions on this?

yes, I did a quick setup, told it I have a KXTD1232/KX-TA1232 and it says Auto Config executing....
I then get the message "VPS is not connected to the PBX! -- Input Any Key --
I have now reset the phone kx-td1232 to factory defaults and told it what ports the voicemail is on. Same results.
The VMS was seeing the 1232 fine before the HD upgrade....
