Hey I looked in some previous posts but didn't really find the answer i needed. I am using a TA824 with a TVA50. We have everything working except we are trying to get the VM to pickup instantly before ringing and to go to company directory. currently the phone rings 2 tmes before going to directory. Any advice? I can give more specific info about settigs if needed Thanks in advance, Dbishop

In 408, 409 & 410 disable ringing to ALL extensions. In 414, 415 & 416 enable only the 1st extension of the TVA 50 as DIL on all CO lines. use the * to represent all CO lines. MrG

As far as I remember the tva 50 voicemail unit will only pick up after 2 rings and can not be changed in system set-up

OBT, the ringing to VM is controlled in the KSU. While I am no VM expert, I do believe the TVA does have a delaying ring avail internally, also. T-Zone, the VM answering needs your extensions be call forwarded if busy or no answer to the prime VM extension. Any other questions? I'm sure Mr. G will be back by soon. He IS the expert. And to the both of you, Hope you enjoy the BB. :thumb:

Hi, the system sends the ring bursts to the voice mail unit but the voice mail ports have a 2 ring delay in systems parameters/ports, it can be extended but not reduced below 2 rings. you also have to tell the 824 the ports the voice mail is on and only ports 7/8 or 15/16 can have the voice mail on it.

In those settings, did you set 1.2 main and click APT integration? (or option 130)
If you dial 107 or 115 does the TVA pick up immediately? In my Ports/Settings, I don't see a delay of 2 rings anywhere unless you oddly screwed with the toll saver options and your personal mailbox (371 or 372). Maybe you have TVA 1.0 software or something bad like that and it's different from the 1.1.
